Cape May Court House

Town in southern New Jersey, USA, on Cape May Peninsula, 48 km/30 mi southwest of Atlantic City, and 19 km/12 mi north-northeast of Cape May; seat of Cape May County; population (1990) 4,400. It is a resort community with a winery, gardens, a museum outlining the area's 18th-century whaling activities, and a number of 18th- and 19th-century buildings. The area also has dairy and poultry farms.
