Capuleti e i Montecchi, I

Opera by Vincenzo Bellini (libretto by Felice Romani, based on Shakespeare's sources for Romeo and Juliet). It was first produced at the Teatro La Fenice, Venice, Italy, on 11 March 1830. Bellini's example persuaded Hector Berlioz to set the play as an extended symphony with voices.
