Rogers

Town in Benton County, northwest Arkansas; population (1990) 24,700. It is located 32 km/20 mi north of Fayetteville and 19 km/12 mi south of the Missouri border, in the Ozarks, near Beaver Lake. It developed as an agricultural market and processing centre after the arrival of the railway in 1881, and now has meatpacking, fabric production, and other plants. Pea Ridge National Military Park lies 16 km/10 mi to the north.
