Carlingford Lough

Inlet of the Irish Sea at the mouth of the River Newry, between County Louth in the Republic of Ireland and County Down in Northern Ireland. It is 16 km/10 mi long and 3 km/2 mi wide, with rich wildlife and a shingle shore. It is a popular centre for sea angling and sailing.

The exclusive development of Oyster Bay Court is located on the waters edge, offering breath-taking views of rugged Slieve Foy to the west, and the worldfamous vista of Carlingford Lough and the Mourne Mountains to the north.
The accident happened at the entrance to Carlingford Lough on November 3, 1916.
But as the weather setting seems stuck somewhere around November, sadly the spectacular panorama from the base of Carlingford Lough could not be enjoyed from the great outdoors.
