Carlson, Chester Floyd

Carlson, Chester Floyd (1906–1968)

US scientist who invented xerography. A research worker with Bell Telephone, he lost his job 1930 during the Depression and set to work on his own to develop an efficient copying machine. By 1938 he had invented the Xerox photocopier.
