Carlton, Richard (c. 1558–c. 1638)

English composer. He was educated at Cambridge, and later became vicar at St Stephen's Church, Norwich, and a minor canon at the cathedral. He published a book of madrigals in 1601 and contributed to the collection of English madrigals The Triumphes of Oriana (1603).
