Carmichael

Community in Sacramento County, north-central California, USA, 11 km/7 mi east-northeast of downtown Sacramento; population (1990) 48,700. Many residents work in local aircraft plants.

Founded in 1910, it was named after its developer, who created a residential and agricultural community.
