Carnegie, Dale (1888–1955)| US author and teacher. He wrote the best-selling self-help book How to Win Friends and Influence People (1937). His courses in public speaking, which drew huge audiences, first won him fame, and he was asked to publish them as a book. His other books include Little Known Facts About Well Known People (1934) and How to Stop Worrying and Start Living (1948). |
