Carnforth

Town in Lancashire, England; population (2001) 4,300. It is situated 10 km/6 mi north of Lancaster near Morecambe Bay, on the main London to Glasgow railway line. The Steamtown Railway Centre, which houses a large collection of steam locomotives including the Flying Scotsman, is in Carnforth.
