Carrillo, Julián (1875–1965)| Mexican composer. He studied at the National Conservatory in Mexico City, won a violin prize, and made further studies at Leipzig and Ghent Conservatories in Europe. Returning to Mexico in 1905, he was active as a violinist and conductor as well as a composer. He experimented in his later works with music using small fractional divisions of the scale. |
