Carse, Adam (1878-1958)

English music scholar and composer. He studied in Germany and at the Royal Academy of Music, London. He was assistant music master at Winchester College 1909-22 and professor at the Royal Academy of Music from 1923. He made a special study of instruments and the orchestra, and left a collection of early wind instruments to the Horniman Museum, London.
