Carse, Adam (1878–1958)

English music scholar and composer. He studied in Germany and at the Royal Academy of Music, London. He was assistant music master at Winchester College 1909–22 and professor at the Royal Academy of Music from 1923. He made a special study of instruments and the orchestra, and left a collection of early wind instruments to the Horniman Museum, London.
