Carson, Willie (1942– )

Scottish jockey who rode 17 English classic winners including four Epsom Derby winners, and was the champion flat-racing jockey in 1972, 1973, 1978, 1980, and 1983. He retired in 1997 with a career total of 3,828 winners.
