Castilla la Nueva

Former region of central Spain. Extending south from the Castilian sierras in the form of a plateau, with an average height of 900 m/3,000 ft and a harsh climate, it included the provinces of Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara, Madrid, and Toledo.
