Castle Mountain

Rocky Mountain peak in Alberta, Canada, included in Banff National Park; height 2,862 m/9,390 ft. Named by New Zealand scientist James Hector in 1857, it was renamed Mount Eisenhower in 1946 by Canadian prime minister Mackenzie King as a tribute to US president Dwight Eisenhower. However, the name was unpopular and it reverted to the original name in 1979. There is still an Eisenhower Peak on the mountain.
