Catulli Carmina

Scenic cantata by Carl Orff (text from poems by Catullus), the second of three works together called Trionfi (the other two are Carmina Burana and Trionfo di Afrodite), first produced in Leipzig, Germany, on 6 November 1943.

Catulli Carmina (1942) is the second of a set of Orff's three 'scenic cantatas'.
principal dancer Patrick Nollet provided the choreography for Gian Carlo Menotti's The Unicorn, the Gorgon, and the Manticore, a fanciful curtain-raiser, and for Carl Orff's Catulli Carmina.
