Catulli Carmina

Scenic cantata by Carl Orff (text from poems by Catullus), the second of three works together called Trionfi (the other two are Carmina Burana and Trionfo di Afrodite), first produced in Leipzig, Germany, on 6 November 1943.

CBC principal dancer Patrick Nollet provided the choreography for Gian Carlo Menotti's The Unicorn, the Gorgon, and the Manticore, a fanciful curtain-raiser, and for Carl Orff's Catulli Carmina.
While in Montreal she created the role of the Acid Queen in Fernand Nault's famous rock ballet Tommy, and she inspired John Butler's Catulli Carmina, as well as performing classical parts.
