Cayce, Edgar (1877–1945)

US alleged psychic and healer. He gained a wide reputation for being able to diagnose illness and prescribe effective treatment while in a trance, even if the patient was not actually present. He also made numerous predictions, including forecasting world cataclysms during the last four decades of the 20th century.
