CE| Abbreviation for Common Era (see calendar); Church of England (often C of E). |
CE| Microsoft operating system for palm-sized and handheld computers, in-car PCs, set-top boxes, mobile phones, and similar devices. Windows CE is not a cut-down version of Windows but a different operating system that runs on a wide range of processors. It is often used in handheld computers based on RISC processors from Hitachi and Mips. In 2006, Microsoft released version 6 of the CE operating system. See also Windows. |
