Cedar Hill

City in Dallas and Ellis Counties, northeastern Texas, USA, on Lake Joe Pool (to the west), 29 km/18 mi southwest of Dallas; population (1990) 20,000. Formerly agricultural, it tripled in population during the 1980s as a residential suburb of Dallas.
