Cedar Lake

Lake in west-central Manitoba, Canada, north of Lake Winnipegosis; area 1,350 sq km/520 sq mi. The Saskatchewan River flows into it from the northwest, and drains east into Lake Winnipeg via Grand Rapids, where dams and dikes (built 1961-64) have raised the lake level, creating a reservoir for hydroelectric power.
