Canal in the département of Saône-et-Loire, France, joining the rivers Saône and Loire. The canal is 120 km/75 mi long, stretching from Chalon-sur-Saône to Digoin, and serves the industrial region of Le Creusot and Montceau-les-Mines. It was constructed in 1781.
