Chadwick, George (Whitefield) (1854–1931)

US composer. He studied at Boston, Leipzig, and under Josef Rheinberger in Munich, Germany. He returned to the USA in 1880 and became organist at Boston, then professor at the New England Conservatory and its director in 1897.
