Chaleurs Bay

Inlet of the Gulf of St Lawrence, Canada, bordered by the Gaspé Peninsula, southeast Québec, to the north, and New Brunswick to the south. The bay extends for approximately 145 km/90 mi from east to west, and reaches a maximum width of 40 km/25 mi.

It was explored by Jacques Cartier in 1535, and named after its intense summer heat.
