Chamberlain, Owen (1920-2006)

US physicist whose graduate studies were interrupted by work on the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos. He shared the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1959 for his work with Italian physicist Emilio Segrè after World War II, which led to the discovery of the existence of the antiproton.
