Champlin

City in Hennepin County, southeastern Minnesota, USA, on the Mississippi River, 32 km/20 mi north-northwest of Minneapolis; population (1990) 16,800. Situated at the outer edge of Twin Cities suburbs, it experienced some residential growth in the 1980s. Many of its residents work across the Mississippi River in Anoka or Coon Rapids.
