Chattahoochee

River in western Georgia; length 700 km/435 mi. Its source is in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Flowing through Atlanta, the river forms part of the western boundary between Georgia, Alabama, and Florida on the west, and after joining the Flint River at Lake Seminole becomes the Apalachicola. It is navigable from Columbus to its mouth.
