Cherry Hill

Township in Camden County, southwestern New Jersey, USA, on the Cooper River, the New Jersey Turnpike, and Route 295, 8 km/5 mi east of Camden; population (1990) 69,400. A fashionable Philadelphia suburb, it has many middle- and upper-middle-class homes. During the 1980s and 1990s Cherry Hill was one of the state's fastest-growing locations for office buildings and corporate headquarters. Its manufactures include telephone and electrical equipment, building materials, and computers.

It was called Delaware until 1961. Several large commercial malls are here, as is the Garden State Park horse track (1985).
