Chesterfield Inlet

Hamlet in the Keewatin region, located in the Canadian territory of Nunavut, on the southern side of the mouth of Chesterfield Inlet, northwestern Hudson Bay, 340 km/210 mi south of the Arctic Circle and 260 km/160 mi east-southeast of Baker Lake; population (2006) 350. It is a trade centre with various administrative and scientific facilities.

The inlet, some 185 km/115 mi long and 1–16 km/1–10 mi wide, extends west-northwest from Hudson Bay to Baker Lake.
