Chignecto

Bay and isthmus in eastern Canada. The Isthmus of Chignecto is a neck of land joining Nova Scotia to New Brunswick, and at its narrowest point is 27 km/17 mi wide. It lies between the Northumberland Strait, to the north, and Chignecto Bay, to the south. The latter, with the Cumberland Basin, forms the northeast arm of the Bay of Fundy; length 65 km/40 mi.
