Children's Corner

A set of piano pieces, with English titles, by Claude Debussy, composed 1906–08 and dedicated to his daughter Claude-Emma Debussy (Chouchou). The pieces are: 1. Doctor Gradus ad Parnassum; 2. Jimbo's Lullaby; 3. Serenade for the Doll; 4. The Snow is Dancing; 5. The Little Shepherd; 6. Golliwogg's Cake-Walk. It was first perfomed in Paris, France, on 18 December 1908; the orchestral version by André Caplet was first performed in New York, USA, in 1910.
