Breed of toy dog developed in China, notable for being hairless except for large plumes on its head, feet and tail. Its skin has a blue or pink tinge, sometimes with black spots. Lightly built, it weighs up to 5.5 kg/12 lb.

The ‘Powder Puff’ variety has long, plume-like, very fine hair all over its body.
