Chisholm, Hugh (1866–1924)| English editor. In 1900 he was appointed joint editor of the supplementary volumes of the Encyclopaedia Britannica, constituting the 10th edition. In 1903 he became editor in chief of the 11th edition and he also edited the 12th. He was financial editor of The Times 1914–20, resigning to edit the additional post-war volumes of the Encyclopaedia. |
