Chisholm, Roderick (Milton) (1916- )

US philosopher. he taught philosophy at Brown University (from 1946), specializing in theory of knowledge and philosophy of science; his works include Perceiving: A Philosophical Study (1957).

He was born in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. He gained a doctorate from Harvard in 1942.
