Chout

Ballet in six scenes, Op. 21, by Sergey Prokofiev (scenario by the composer, from a story by A Afansyev), composed in 1915 and revised in 1920. It was first produced at the Ballets Russes, Paris, France, on 17 May 1921. The Symphonic Suite from the ballet was arranged in 1920 and first performed in Brussels, Belgium, on 15 January 1924.
