Christophorus, oder Die Vision einer Oper

Opera by Franz Schreker (libretto by the composer), composed 1925–29. The original production was banned by the Nazis and the opera was first performed in Freiburg, Germany, on 1 October 1978. The story is of a student who attempts to write an opera based on the life of St Christopher, but the characters of the legend become confused with his own friends.
