Christus

Oratorio by Franz Liszt (words from the Bible and the Roman Catholic liturgy), composed 1855-66 and first performed in Weimar, Germany, on 29 May 1873.

It is also the title of an oratorio by Felix Mendelssohn (words by Chevalier Bunsen), begun in 1844 and resumed in 1847 but left unfinished.
