Chung, Connie

Chung, Connie (1946– )

US television journalist. The highest paid local anchor in the nation at CBS's KNXT-TV in Los Angeles from 1976–83, she then joined National Broadcasting Company News as a correspondent, hosting various shows. Returning to CBS in 1989, she anchored Face to Face with Connie Chung, an investigative news magazine in 1990. In 1993 became copresenter of the Evening News with Dan Rather.

She was born in Washington, DC, and began her career as a newswriter in 1969.
