Churchill Falls

Waterfalls on the Churchill River, the longest river in Labrador, eastern Canada, situated about 400 km/249 mi from the mouth of the river. They fall 75 m/245 ft. A power plant at the falls supplies hydroelectric power, much of which is transmitted from the province to other parts of Canada and the USA.

Known as Grand Falls until 1965, the waterfalls were renamed after Winston Churchill who died that year.
