Chwast, Seymour (1931– )

US graphic designer. He was a cofounder (with Milton Glaser) of Push Pin Studios, New York, in 1954, and was publisher and editor of Push Pin Graphic magazine 1974–81, and Push Pin Press from 1976–81. His eclectic approach to design is also exemplified in the television series I, Claudius (1977).

He was born in New York City. Based in New York, he studied with Will Barnett at Cooper Union, New York 1948–51.
