Cilèa, Francesco (1866–1950)| Italian composer. He produced his first opera in 1889, while still a student at Naples Conservatory. The publisher Sonzogno then commissioned a second, which was produced at Florence in 1892. Cilea was professor at the Reale Istituto Musicale, Florence, 1896–1904. |
