Clari, Giovanni Carlo Maria (1677–1754)

Italian composer. He was maestro di cappella successively at Pistoia (c. 1712), Bologna (1720), and Pisa (1736). Five of his vocal duets were used by Handel in Theodora.

opera Il Savio delirante (1695); 11 oratorios; Masses, Stabat Mater, and other church music.
