Opera by Henry Bishop (libretto by J H Payne, based on Marmontel's story Laurette), first produced at Covent Garden, London, England, in May 1823. It contains the song ‘Home, Sweet Home’, not only as a song, but as a kind of Leitmotiv or theme song occurring in various forms.
