Clark, Laurel Blair Salton (1961-2003)

US astronaut and physician. A mission specialist, she was selected as an astronaut in 1996. She previously worked in the Payloads/Habitability Branch of the Astronaut Office. Clark died when the space shuttle Columbia broke up on re-entry in February 2003 after a 16-day mission to the International Space Station.
