Clarkson, John (Gibson) (1861–1909)

US baseball player. A (right-handed) pitcher, mostly for the Chicago White Stockings and Boston Red Stockings, he led the league in games won three times, winning as many as 53 games in 1885.

He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His Hall of Fame career ran from 1882–94.
