Claudine von Villa Bella

    0.06 sec.

Claudine von Villa Bella

Play for music by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. It is also the title of the music composed by Franz Schubert (libretto from Goethe's play); all three acts were composed in 1815 but the manuscripts of Acts 2 and 3 were used as firelighters by the servants of Josef Hüttenbrenner. The Overture and Act 1 were first performed at the Gemeindehaus Wieden, Vienna, Austria, on 26 April 1913.
