Clawson

City in Oakland County, southeastern Michigan, USA, 23 km/14 mi north of Detroit; population (1990) 13,900. First settled in 1883, this mostly residential suburb also manufactures auto parts, tools, and dies, and has machine shops.

Oakland Troy Airport is just to the northwest.
