Cleburne

City in northeastern Texas, USA, near Lake Pat Cleburne, 43 km/27 mi south of Fort Worth; seat of Johnson County; population (2000) 26,000. Settled in the 1850s, it is a Blacklands trade and shipping centre for dairying, livestock, and farming operations. It has a steel foundry, extensive railroad shops, and various manufactures including appliances.
