Clement, Franz (Joseph) (1780–1842)| Austrian violinist, who first appeared at the age of seven. He was leader of the orchestra at the Theater an der Wien in Vienna 1802–11 and 1817–21. Beethoven wrote his violin concerto for him, which he premiered in 1806. In the same concert he performed variations with his violin turned upside down. |
