Cleveland County

County in central Oklahoma, USA; area 1,370 sq km/529 sq mi; population (1990) 174,300. The county is bounded by the Canadian River (to the southwest). Its seat is Norman. Its northern half is both urban and suburban and includes residential suburbs of Oklahoma City to the north, most notably the city of Moore. The southern half, with few towns, has both farms and ranches and oil and natural gas fields. The region produces grain, cotton, livestock, poultry, and dairy goods.
