Clogher

Village in southern County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, 32 km/20 mi west of Dungannon; population (2001) 2,000. It was the original cathedral town of the diocese of Clogher, said to be the oldest bishopric in Ireland (founded in the 5th century). The current Protestant cathedral was built in 1744. Behind it is Rathmore Fort, an Iron Age hill fort and archaeological site.

The only remains of an earlier cathedral are fragments of a 10th-century cross and a sundial.
