Clontarf

Residential seaside suburb in the northeast of the city of Dublin, Republic of Ireland. At the Battle of Clontarf in 1014, Brian Boru, High King of Ireland, defeated the Danes and thus marked the end of Viking power in Leinster. North Bull, a sandy islet created by tides, is a bird sanctuary.
